My Bentley Story by Amy Tamburino
Staff, Waltham, Massachusetts
I think the greatest story of Bentley is the story of community. When I joined the staff in 2007, I realized very quickly that the community of faculty and staff was strong and very connected. I came from a larger institution where it was difficult to cross bridges between faculty, staff and students. At Bentley, everyone was interested, approachable and eager to collaborate. In 2012, I was tasked with building our alumni association and developing regional chapters. Everywhere I went, alumni wanted to help - to connect themselves back to Bentley and to each other. Alumni have strong relationships with faculty, fellow falcons and staff and are eager to create a legacy of strong regional chapters. The picture I attached shows some of the staff from the Center for Alumni, Parents and Friends with our Bentley work study student at the time, and the Homecoming King 2013. Homecoming always reminds me of the strength of the Bentley community - past, current and future.
