My Bentley Story by Jeremiah O'Sullivan

After graduating from high school in 1963, I tried to continue my education but was not a good student. I had been accepted to attend Bentley College on Boylston Street, but opted for another institution. I was not a dedicated student and soon found myself working in the meat packing industry at Amour Chamberlin as a laborer. After 2+ years of this, I concluded my brain must be stronger than my muscles and visited Bentley to inquire if I could be accepted at this time. A new program had just been instituted allowing attendance at the night school 4 nights per week taking 4 courses. If a student's marks were sufficient and the student was willing to make up the fifth course in the following summer they would be place in the day school that January. I took advantage of this second chance graduating in 1969. I was immediately hired by the Internal Revenue Service on July 11, 1969 and retired in 2006 after 36+ years of service the Senior Appeals Officer in Boston. I am a CPA and Attorney now practicing Of Counsel with McMahon Associates LLC in Boston representing taxpayers with tax problems at both the state and federal level. I am admitted to practice in all federal courts including the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as all Massachusetts courts..
