Though I have countless wonderful memories from my time at Bentley, perhaps my favorite memory is being part of the 2001 women's field hockey team that brought the school its first ever NCAA Division II National Championship. After falling short in the final game in 1999 and 2000, we again found ourselves in the NCAA tourney in 2001. But this time around, Bentley was chosen to host the tournament. It was great enough that we were going to have another chance to go after the title, but the chance to do so on our home field was incredible. We went on to defeat East Stroudsburg University in the championship game in front of a packed crowd. It's a moment I will never forget and it will always encompass for me so many of the things I learned while at Bentley -- namely the value of teamwork, discipline, preparation and hard work.
