Teaching interests include consumer behavior and marketing research. Research interests include gender issues in marketing, particularly in the context of the Filene's Basement Bridal Event, consumer resistance to marketing tactics and technology, and relationship marketing critiques. Published articles have appeared in Harvard Business Review, Marketing Education Review, Advances in Consumer Research, Developments in Marketing Science, as well as two invited book reviews in Journal of Marketing Research and one book review in Journal of Macromarketing. Previously taught at Virginia Tech and the College for International Studies in Madrid, Spain.
