Class Book
Starting in 2002, Bentley identified a "class book," to be read by the incoming class. Assigned to the students during the summer, the book is discussed in First-Year courses and serves as the focus of a series of activities -- the visit by the author, panel discussions, community conversations, a film series and web site. These opportunities for shared academic interaction are intended to create a central intellectual focus for the First-Year class and all who care to join in.
