Introducing New Bentley Annual Gift Recognition Societies

Every Gift Counts. Every Donor Makes a Difference.

We are pleased to introduce a new set of Bentley Fund donor recognition societies which broaden and deepen the recognition of alumni, parents and friends who support the university.  Donors who give between the period of July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010 will be recognized as members of the following societies in the Annual Donor Report.

The Bentley Founders Leadership Donor Recognition Societies

Since its founding in 1917 by Harry C. Bentley—a man whose steadfast devotion to his students was astounding by any standard—Bentley University has continued to inspire extraordinary commitment from alumni, parents, and friends. By supporting vital university priorities, the Bentley Founders ensure a life-changing educational experience for today’s Bentley students—and tomorrow’s business leaders.

  • Chairman’s Circle ~ $100,000 and above
Every year, our most generous stakeholders offer invaluable support to help us shape our future. In recognition of their commitment, we have reserved this highest annual giving society for those whose annual gifts of $100,000+ have made it possible for Bentley to achieve its most significant goals.
  • Trustee's Council ~ $25,000 to $99,999
Throughout Bentley’s history, we have extended our vision with the help of forward-thinking leadership supporters. The Trustees Council honors major donors whose annual gifts of $25,000 - $99,999 are influential in determining the course of Bentley’s growth.
  • President’s Leadership Circle ~ $10,000 to $24,999
Each president at Bentley has served the school wholeheartedly and with the courage to innovate. The President’s Leadership Circle was created for donors whose annual gifts of $10,000-$24,999 help Bentley lead the way.
  • Dean’s Council ~ $5,000 to $9,999
The Dean’s Council pays homage to Dean Rae Anderson, who was instrumental in moving Bentley to its campus in Waltham. This giving society recognizes donors whose annual gifts of $5,000-$9,999 support Bentley’s bold moves.
  • *The Bentley Associates Club ~ $2,500 to $4,999
Named for Harry C. Bentley’s first group of independent students, who encouraged him to start his own school of accounting and finance, this society honors the constancy of donors who support Bentley with annual gifts of $2,500-$4,999.
  • *Emerging Associates Club
Through this society, recent Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. graduates who make a gift of $1,000 or more during any of the first five years following graduation are recognized at The Bentley Associates Club level.

The Loyalty to Bentley Donor Recognition Societies

At the heart of Bentley’s campus, you will find landmarks that embody Harry C. Bentley’s vision and dedication—emblems of the exceptional learning and living environment our students enjoy today. Annual gifts from our loyal donors help Bentley continue to provide students with innovative educational opportunities, a rich array of activities, and the support—to foster personal wellbeing and professional success—of Centers like the Office of Career Services and Center for Business Ethics.

  • Clock Tower Society ~ $1,000 to $2,499
The clock tower that tops the Bentley Library stands tall as a symbol of everything Bentley represents: education and commitment, foresight and innovation, tradition and courage. With the Clock Tower Society, we recognize donors who support Bentley with annual gifts of $1,000-$2,499.
  • Quadrangle Society ~ $500 to $999
The Bentley Quadrangle is central to the student experience, a vibrant nexus of life and learning. Members of the Quadrangle Society support Bentley and its students with annual gifts of $500-$999.
  • Bentley Bridge Society ~ $250 to $499
The upper and lower campuses at Bentley are joined by a footbridge that represents our growth and the connections we are building. Members of the Bentley Bridge Society support Bentley with annual gifts of $250-$499.
  • Blue and Gold Spirit Society ~ $1 - $249
Our school colors of blue and gold represent the spirit of loyalty and determination that underlies every gift, at every level, all of which make a difference. Members of the Blue and Gold Spirit Society contribute annual gifts of $1-$249.

Cornerstone Community Member
In 1967, the cornerstone was laid for Bentley’s new campus in Waltham. Cornerstone Community Members, who have made gifts for three or more consecutive years, are an equally important part of our foundation.

The 1917 Legacy Society
Members of our 1917 Legacy Society—named for the year in which Bentley was founded—have included Bentley in their estate planning, providing crucial ongoing support for our University.
