Make a Difference
"The difference between a good college and a great college lies with its alumni." That observation by President Joseph Morone speaks to the strong correlation between alumni support and the success of Bentley programs. Building and expanding alumni involvement is a priority as the college moves ahead. How to get involved:
Attend events. The campus calendar is teeming with seminars, networking events and social gatherings designed specifically for alumni, along with lectures, gallery exhibits, musical offerings and theater performances for the general public.
Become a mentor. Offer advice and a real-world perspective to current Bentley students interested in the career field you've chosen. Mentor a student for one evening at field- and industry-specific "career nights" sponsored with the Miller Center for Career Services. Student mentoring can be done on a longer-term basis as well.
Join chapters and clubs. The growing number of alumni chapters and clubs in the United States and abroad are always on the lookout for new recruits. Sign on to meet fellow grads and to help coordinate activities and events.
Offer an internship. Hands-on experience in the business world helps Bentley students build skills and assess career options. Companies, meanwhile, benefit from the fresh perspectives and additional help that student interns bring to the table. For more information, e-mail Janet Kenney in the Miller Center for Career Services, or call her at 781.891.2442.
Make a gift. Alumni support helps to underwrite student scholarships, faculty research, curriculum development, campus facilities, and a host of other important initiatives at Bentley.
