NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- Junior Anne Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) won two individual events, freshman Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) shattered the school record in the 50 yard breaststroke and both were part of a winning 200 medley relay team as Bentley University registered a 185-101 victory over UMass-Dartmouth Saturday afternoon in women's college swimming at the UMD pool.
Kaduboski captured the 200 freestyle in 2:01.05, touching more than four seconds before runner-up and teammate Susie Boretti (Westford/Westford Academy). In the next to last event of the meet, she recorded a winning time of 4:47.53 in the 400 individual medley, outswimming Hodsdon by nearly 15 seconds.
Hodsdon, already the school record holder in the 100 breast, added the 50 to her collection with her winning time of 31.05 seconds bettering the mark set by Kaitlin Chepeleff in the same pool in February 2008 by 0.69 seconds.
Kaduboski, Boretti and Hodsdon also helped Bentley prevail in the 200 medley relay, combining with freshman Monika Drogosz (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) for a time of 1:56.35. Drogosz (100 back, 1:04.73) and Boretti (100 breast, 1:11.81) were also individual winners for the Falcons.
Freshman Abby Mathews (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) swept the two diving events for Bentley, posting scores of 218.95 on the one-meter and 155.45 on the three-meter.
The other winners in individual events for Bentley were senior Carolyn Connolly (Palm Desert, Calif./Palm Desert HS) in the 500 free (5:46.08) and a pair of freshmen, Taryn Dooley (Feeding Hills/ Agawam HS) in the 50 back (30.73) and Kelly Mazza (Merrimack, N.Y./Calhoun HS) in the 1000 free (11:53.71). Mazza also anchored Bentley's winning 400 free relay team.
Bentley, 3-1, is off until the Northeast-10 Invitational Dec. 5-6, which will be held in its home pool.
