Kastrenos, Brady Top Performers for Bentley Men in Husky Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. ¿ Senior Jim Kastrenos (Foxboro/Foxboro HS) and freshman Jim Brady (Beverly/Beverly HS) had the top performances for the Bentley College men¿s indoor track team Friday night in the Husky Invitational at Northeastern University.

Kastrenos had Bentley¿s top finish as he was fourth in the mile with a time of 4:16.31. Brady won his heat, and finished sixth overall, with a personal best time of 15:27.36 in the 5,000 meters. Also in the 5,000, junior Mike Killam (Groton/Groton-Dunstable Reg. HS) was eighth in 15:33.63.

Also scoring for the Falcons was junior Harold Mateo (Fitchburg/Fitchburg HS), who placed seventh in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 6.73. In the trials, he set a new PR with a 6.68.

Junior Adam Hughes (Bedford, N.H./Trinity HS) also set a PR of 52.04 in winning his heat in the 400. Overall, he finished 12th amongst 27 competitors.

Bentley finished with 14 points, good for 11th place amongst 14 teams.

The Falcons will be back in action next Saturday in the Greater Boston Championships at MIT.
