Mateo, Agnew Excel for Bentley Men at Harvard Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. ¿ Junior Harold Mateo (Fitchburg/Fitchburg HS) and freshman Ryan Agnew (Spencer/David Prouty HS) were amongst the top performers for the Bentley College men¿s indoor track team Saturday in the Harvard Invitational at the Gordon Track and Tennis Center.

Mateo placed second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.26 seconds, and set a personal best in the 200 meters, with his 23.18 good for third place. Agnew ran the 5,000 meters in 15:36.73, also resulting in a third-place finish.

Other Falcon highlights included a second by junior Dave O¿Grady (Whitman/Whitman-Hanson Reg. HS) in the mile (4:29.99), a third from senior Lou Raffetto (Oakhurst, N.J./Ocean Township HS) in the 3,000 (9:09.07) and a fourth by junior Jim Thibeault (Melrose/St. John¿s Prep) in the shot put (40 feet, 9.75 inches).

There was no team scoring in the meet.
