Since 2002, through a partnership with the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance, a Bentley education has been available outside the United States. Students in the gulf region can earn a Bachelor of Science in Management with a minor in Information Technology from one of America’s leading business schools, without going far from home. It’s the best of both worlds.
Bentley faculty members teach courses in three-week sessions at the Bahrain Institute of Banking in Manama, where they deliver the same material taught at Bentley's Waltham campus. This format enables students to devote all of their attention to one course at a time. This approach fosters a close connection among students and faculty, both inside and outside the classroom.
In courses throughout the curriculum, students gain a solid understanding of the latest computer technologies and ways that smart companies use these high-tech tools. They develop the ability to analyze and manage the deluge of information that fuels today’s business world. Through the program's liberal arts courses and culture-specific case studies, students learn the importance of cultural understanding and respect when conducting business in a global economy.
The program’s summer session brings students to Waltham to attend classes on the main campus, where they can take advantage of the college's many high-tech facilities and learning labs, such as the financial Trading Room, the largest in higher education, and the Center for Marketing Technology. Like our domestic students, Bentley in Bahrain students acquire plenty of hands-on experience with the latest technologies in a variety of fields.
