The Campus Community

Warmth and Vitality

The Bentley community is spirited and close-knit. Students, faculty and staff share a commitment to the values of personal responsibility and mutual support. At the same time, their different backgrounds, interests and goals keep members of the campus community learning from each other — and having fun in the process.

A steady supply of college- and student-sponsored events brings undergraduate, graduate and professional education students, faculty and others together around common interests. Opportunities include lectures by well-known business leaders, plays and concerts, panel discussions with alumni from various career fields, exhibits in the college art gallery, and networking nights with professional organizations such as the Society for Management.

Cheering on the Bentley Falcons in football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse and other varsity sports for men and women is another popular pursuit here. Looking for a place to chill out? Bentley has lots of great spots for relaxing, studying and grabbing a bite to eat.

The best-know hangout on campus is the Student Center, which opened in 2002. Here you can meet friends in the "living room," grab a sandwich at Harry's Corner or the Seasons Dining Room, play cards in the Pub or pool in the Rec Room. You'll also find conference and meeting rooms as well as the Sacred Space, an area dedicated to students of all faiths.

When the weather is nice, head outside to the Greenspace. Nestled among the dorms, this oversized lawn is the perfect spot for Frisbee, sunbathing, touch football and people-watching.

Time again to hit the books? Check out the newly renovated Bentley Library. Or, grab a quick bite from the college's smaller cafeteria in the LaCava Center and make the short walk to the Smith Center. You'll find a beautiful glass-enclosed atrium with cozy nooks for small groups, and 18 private conference rooms for large group work.
