About the Residential Center

Living on campus is an exciting and important part of the college experience. By living on campus you will gain important life skills, discover more about yourself, and make lasting friendships. Welcome Home!

The Residential Center is dedicated to creating a safe, civil, and inclusive residential community. Our staff strives to develop a comfortable living environment where the personal and intellectual growth of all residential students is fostered.

Spring Closing Information

Interim & Summer Housing Information

Important Dates 

Interim & Summer Housing

  • Interim housing is available for the May intensive week (May 9-18) for students taking an intensive course, graduating seniors who are not attending the Bahamas trip, and students staying for summer housing who need housing between spring and summer.
  • Summer housing is available for both summer sessions for current Bentley undergraduate students who are taking summer courses at Bentley. working a job or internship in the local area, or working an on-campus job at Bentley.
  • The application for interim and/or summer housing is located in the Housing Portal, and more information about these housing periods, including dates and costs, can be found here.

Spring 2024 Closing

  • The residence halls and dining services will be closed for summer beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9.
  • All students must depart from housing within 24 hours after their last final exam or by 5:00 p.m. on May 9. whichever comes first.
  • Seniors participating in the Bentley in the Bahamas trip and/or Commencement Ball will be allowed to stay on campus past May 9, with more information communicated throughout the spring semester.
  • All students must fully remove their belongings from their assigned space by the time they depart campus.
  • Summer housing will be available for students with a demonstrated need to remain on campus. More information will be communicated via email in April.

Fall 2024 Housing for Returning Students

  • Housing selection for returning students has officially concluded. If you did not participate in housing selection but are interested in living on campus next year, please contact us at housing@bentley.edu to be added to our housing waitlist.
  • If you selected housing for fall 2024 but have since decided to not live on campus, please complete the Fall 2024 Contract Release Form in the Housing Portal by June 13th. All contract release requests submitted by June 13th will be automatically approved; requests after June 13th will be subject to review.
  • If you selected housing for fall 2024 but would like to request a room change, please complete the Fall 2024 Room Change Request Form in the Housing Portal by May 9th. We will do our best to offer as many room changes as possible over the summer if spaces become available.

Fall 2024 Housing for Incoming Students (New First-Year, Transfer, & Exchange)

  • Information about the housing contract and application will be sent to all incoming residential students via email in late May. Please look out for that email, as well as for more information here on our website in May.
  • All housing information will be sent to the student's Bentley email address.
  • Students will have approximately four weeks to complete the housing contract application, with deadlines in June.

Housing & Meal Plan Rates

All students who sign the Housing and Meal Plan Contract are responsible for the costs associated with their housing assignment and/or meal plan. Each housing option and meal plan has its own corresponding rate, which is charged per semester. Students are responsible for accessing and reviewing rates when requesting, or agreeing to, a room or meal plan change to an option with a different rate.

8 Defined Learning Communities

The Defined Communities at Bentley provide an enhanced environment of learning within the residence halls. Each community provides dedicated spaces for students with similar interests and passions to live and learn around a central theme or academic focus. Focus areas include First Generation College Students, Arts, Women's Leadership, Campus Leadership, Wellness, and Honors Students.

SAFETY AND SUPPORT AVAILABLE: 24/7

Residential center staff responds to over 520 hours of duty related calls a year ranging in a variety of issues on campus. We are here and available to support you at all times! The residential center staff submitted over 14,000 resident interactions over the academic year.

Hours of Operation

The Residential Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.  After hours we have professional staff members who serve in on-call roles for after hours support.
