Undergraduate Career Services Resources
The Miller Center for Career Services (CCS) offers a variety of programs and services designed to assist students with determining a career path, finding internships and/or full-time opportunities. Every student is invited to schedule an appointment with a staff member or stop by anytime during our “drop-in hours”. Just some of the resources include:
Individual Career Advising
Professional counselors are available to meet with students to discuss academic and career plans. The staff is well versed in job market trends and career development issues. We will help students choose a major, define their career goals, create/update a resume, develop a job search strategy, practice interviewing and everything in between! Call 781-891-2375 to schedule an appointment with a career advisor.
Campus Recruiting Program
Each year more than 1,500 employers recruit Bentley students for job opportunities (internship or full time post graduation) in the fall and spring semesters, conducting over 4,000 interviews on-campus. eRecruiting, our on-line posting service, is available to all registered Bentley students and is accessible seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Once a student has registered and received the password from CCS, they will be able to submit resumes and review all recruiting information on-line. The on-line password is available from CCS, 781-891-2375.
Workshops, Panels & Networking Events
A variety of workshops and networking events are offered throughout the year covering such topics as: resume writing, interviewing, recruiting program orientation, business etiquette and salary negotiations. In partnership with local professionals and alumni, Career Services also plans a host of networking events and career panels throughout the semester, many of which are customized by major. To get a list of these workshops and events, visit our calendar of events located on our website.
Career Fairs
Students should not miss our Career/Job Fairs held in the fall and spring semesters for students who are seeking internships and/or full time positions. Representatives from over 150 corporations and over 1,500 students participated in these events last year.
Career Assessments
For those that are uncertain about their major or potential career choice, we offer career/personality inventories. These include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, SkillScan, Strong Interest Inventory, and CareerLeader. These assessments are mostly available on-line and require an appointment with a career counselor for interpretation. For more information involving career exploration, stop by the office during our drop-in hours or make an appointment to meet a career advisor.
Mock Interviews
Need help with your interviewing skills? The career counseling staff would be more than happy to assist you! Make an appointment with a career counselor by calling 781-891-2375. It’s a great way to practice before the real thing.
