Campus Recruiting Program - Full Time Recruiting

All Bentley College students have access to our eRecruiting system, powered by Experience. If you need to know your username and password, please email recruiting_info@bentley.edu.

WHAT IS ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING?

Utilizing the web-based, fully automated eRecruiting system, by Experience, the campus recruiting program enables Bentley College students to meet and interview with recruiting representatives from business, industry and government organizations on the Bentley College campus. Each year, over 500 local, regional and national employers post job opportunities and conduct interviews with eligible graduating students active on eRecruiting. Most on-campus interviews are privately held in the CCS Recruiting Area, Room 200 LaCava Campus Center.

ERECRUITING, THE ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING PROGRAM

eRecruiting is a fully automated, web-based, on-campus recruiting scheduling system. The system is provided through Experience. Students and employers will be using this system to gain access to each other, resulting in on-campus recruiting interviews. For example, the system allows eligible students to submit their resumes to employers on-line. The employer will then receive the resumes and pre-select the students that they are interested in granting an on-campus interview. The schedule will then be available to the preselected students on-line and they have 24-hour access to sign up and/or change interview times.

SEARCHING FOR JOBS AND INTERNSHIPS

Once you have completed your profile on eRecruiting, company profiles, employer contact information, and detailed job descriptions are all at your fingertips. To be sure that a particular job is of interest to you, and that your qualifications match the employer's expectations, please carefully read a company's job description before submitting your resume. It is very important that you research the company and visit the company's web site. eRecruiting has created links to employers' websites in the on-line job description. Researching the companies that you are interested in will make a difference in the on-campus interview!

eRecruiting allows you to search companies by interview date, resume submission deadline, employer, presentation date, and also by going into your personal dates.

EMPLOYER INFORMATION SESSIONS

Along with the interview date, an employer may choose to hold an information session/presentation on the organization and the opportunities available. Employer presentations are usually held the evening before the interview date. Some employers choose to hold an open information session, in which all interested students may attend and is usually held approximately a month before the interview date. While researching the companies in the eRecruiting system, it is important that you make note of the employer presentations. If you are selected for an on-campus interview with a company who is holding a presentation event, it is mandatory that you attend. The presentation is geared to help the student gain a better understanding of the organization and career opportunities, to give the employer a chance to get better acquainted with candidates, and also to help the student network within organizations of their interest. The dress code for employer presentations is business casual and have copies of your resume with you.

The application process is identical to applying to the on-campus recruiting companies, however the company will receive your resume through eRecruiting and contact you directly if they are interested in granting you an on-site interview.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is your responsibility to keep all interview times for off-campus interviews. You must contact the company directly as soon as you know that a change/cancellation is absolutely necessary.

WITHDRAWING AN APPLICATION FROM A JOB & NO-SHOW POLICY

Interviews may be cancelled only within the sign-up period. On occasion, you may need to withdraw an application that you submitted through eRecruiting. This is an appropriate action if you mistakenly applied to a job, or if you decided that you are not interested in being considered for the job. Remember that you can only withdraw your application BEFORE an employer has made a decision on your application. If you withdraw and the apply end date has not yet passed, you are still eligible to re-apply to the position. * Note that you can only withdraw an application for an on campus event.

To withdraw your application, please follow these steps:

  • Log into your  eRecruiting account
  • Select Your Active Applications under the Applications tab on the navigation bar
  • Click on the Details/Sign up... link of the desired application
  • Click Withdraw
  • Click Withdraw on the confirmation page, or click Back to cancel Withdrawal

Failure to keep a scheduled interview or canceling an interview after the sign-up period has ended will result in the suspension of your participation in the eRecruiting program.

BAD WEATHER POLICY

If classes are canceled because of inclement weather, interviews will also be canceled. If classes are canceled at any point in the day, interviews will also be canceled.
