French at Brookhaven

Mission Statement

Brookhaven at Lexington is a leader in life-care living. It is a non-profit community dedicated to providing quality, choice, and innovation in elderly living situations. Brookhaven exists to provide the elderly with a safe community to live in, offering an array of amenities such as fitness centers, learning opportunities, home maintenance services, and much more. Brookhaven partners directly with Bentley University and other organizations to expand a menu of programs and events.

Program Description

Through the aid of director, Lynne Romboli, Bentley University students are paired with the elderly living in the center. The program provides weekly, hour-long sessions that teach French. This program is a way for Brookhaven community members to learn a new language or brush up on the French they used to know. The Bentley students serve as teachers and provide friendship with the elderly that participate in the sessions.
