Research Associates

Research Associate, Cara Abel
Cara Abel is a Research Associate at the User Experience Center. Prior to joining the UXC, Cara taught English at the elementary and college levels in Costa Rica, served as a medical interpreter for marginalized communities throughout Central America, worked in program management, volunteer recruitment, and marketing at an international non-profit, and most recently helped launch a tablet and digital content store for children.  

Cara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College, where she studied Culture and Communication and minored in Photography. She is also a certified in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and is currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University.

Research Associate, Jocelyn Bellas
Jocelyn Bellas is a Research Associate in the User Experience Center. Prior to joining the UXC, Jocelyn worked in a variety of customer service roles at Disney, Florida State University, and John Wiley & Sons. During her time at Florida State University, she worked in large-scale event planning and educational programming for University Housing and Orientation for New Student & Family programs. Most recently, Jocelyn worked as a customer and student liaison within Wiley's Global Education Department, managing educational programs and student recruitment. 

Jocelyn holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, where she majored in Communication and Social Science, with a certificate in Emergency Management, and a minor in Business. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University.

Research Associate, Adam Garbacz
Adam Garbacz is a Research Associate at the User Experience Center. Prior to joining the UXC, Adam worked as a Research Analyst at MarketCast, an entertainment industry marketing consultancy, and as a Research Assistant at Northeastern University’s Lifespan Emotional Development Lab (LEDlab).

Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University, where he majored in  Psychology and minored in Philosophy. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University.

Research Associate, Sara Garver
Sara Garver is a current Research Associate at the User Experience Center. Prior to joining the UXC, Sara was working in and consulting for a variety of Boston-based tech startups and is currently serving as the Operations Director in a UX Research and Design startup, Woods Creative, based in Somerville, MA and Portland, ME. Over the years, Sara has worked in a wide variety of roles, everything from website design and customer service to product and project management in startups, small businesses, and larger companies.

Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, where she studied Studio Art and Urban Studies. She also holds an MBA from Simmons College where she focused in Finance and Entrepreneurship. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University. 

Research Associate, Rachel Graham
Rachel Graham is a research associate at the User Experience Center. Prior to joining the UXC, Rachel spent three years in Bentley’s Marketing and Communications department, supporting lead generation and enrollment initiatives for all eleven graduate-level programs. She has a deep knowledge of the higher education market with a strong focus on digital and content marketing strategy using platforms like Drupal, WordPress and HubSpot. Rachel has also spent time as both Project and Account Manager at an interactive agency in Boston, where she first became passionate about website design and user experience. Rachel led and contributed to projects for clients in eCommerce, online gaming and healthcare – mainly working on a total site overhaul for a client that served users exclusively over the age of 65.

Rachel holds a B.S. in Marketing and Media Arts from Bentley University, where she also minored in Business Economics. She spent three years on the varsity Cross Country and Track teams, and studied Film & Media in South Africa for a semester. She is currently President of the User Experience Graduate Association at Bentley and is pursuing a Master of Science in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University.

Research Associate, Aradhika Guleria
Aradhika Guleria is a research associate at the User Experience Center. Prior to joining UXC, Aradhika worked in a tech startup for 4 years as a Project Manager in India. She designed an interactive e-learning software for the web and  tablets. Her work included - defining the complete lifecycle of the product and providing conceptual designs/wireframes.

Aradhika holds a Masters in Business Administration degree in Marketing. She is currently pursuing her Masters of science in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University.

Research Associate, Renee Keith
Renee Keith is a Research Associate in the User Experience Center. Prior to joining the UXC, Renee worked for the University of Washington Medical Center and served as a Patient Care Coordinator, launched and managed an online patient assessment, and  spearheaded improvements to assist the coordination of care and financial counseling.

Renee earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Puget Sound (UPS) in Tacoma, Washington, where she majored in Business Administration and minored in Chemistry. During her four years at UPS she studied international business practices and biological sciences. She also studied German, International Marketing, E.U. Finance, and European art in Vienna, Austria for a semester. Renee is passionate about accessibility and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University. 

Research Associate, John Robb
John Robb is a Research Associate at the User Experience Center. Prior to joining the UXC, he worked as a designer at Tissue Analytics, a medical startup in Baltimore, where he redesigned the company’s web and mobile experiences. During this time he also managed a number of freelance projects for a variety of startups and development shops.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pace University where he studied Communications. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University.

Research Associate, Reed Snider
Reed Snider is a Research Associate at the User Experience Center. Prior to joining the UXC, he worked as a Senior Web Producer for AppFolio Inc., a property management SaaS company in Santa Barbara, CA.  He was immersed in an agile tech startup environment and grew within the company as it emerged into its publicly traded status.  His other previous work experience has been in graphic design and marketing as the owner of a design agency, RS Designs.  Additionally, he has worked within product sourcing and product design as a Marketing and Operations Manager at Ryan Technologies, a global security solutions company headquartered in Beijing. His interests in user experience range from large-scale data validation and UX strategy to field research studies and informed design.

Reed holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Westmont College where he majored in Business and Economics and minored in Studio Art. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University.

Research Associate, Athena Ziavras
Athena Ziavras is a Research Associate in the User Experience Center. Prior to joining the UXC, Athena worked as a Social Media Intern at Influence Central Consulting (Newton, Ma) and a Marketing Intern at Arbor Networks (Burlington, Ma). She is a recent graduate of Bentley University (Class of 2015).

Athena holds a Bachelor of Science from Bentley University, where she majored in Information Design and Corporate Communication and minored in Marketing. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University.
