UX Certificate Program Options

Courses may be taken individually or applied toward a comprehensive certificate awarded after completion of nine courses, three of which are required. Human Factors and the User Experience, serves as the foundation for the program. Participants also complete two other required courses, Usability Testing and Managing a User Experience Group, and six elective courses from a variety of offerings.

Courses are scheduled in a two-day format (Thursday and Friday) and may be taken in any order. Participants are encouraged to complete the Human Factors course as early in their program as possible.

Successful completion of a course is determined by a required post-course assignment as well as attendance of the entire course session. Completion of the certificate requires an average of 3.0 (B) in nine courses. Letter grades are given for this program.

Graduates of the User Experience certificate program may transfer the equivalent of six graduate credits to the Master of Science in Human Factors in Information Design (MSHFID) program, and waive two of the MSHFID elective courses. To be admitted to Bentley's McCallum Graduate School of Business, please apply directly to the Graduate Admission Office; you must successfully meet all admission requirements.
