Student Information

Graduation Announcements
Graduating students receive five formal announcements to send to family and friends. Available in early April, undergraduates can pick up these announcements at the Registrar’s Office. Graduate students will have them mailed to their homes in late April. Additional graduation announcements, both generic and personalized, may be purchased at the college bookstore. Graduation announcements are not seating tickets. Seats are available to everyone on a first come, first served basis.

For more information, please visit the Registrar’s Office.

Caps and Gowns
Caps, gowns and hoods are required for commencement attendance and may be purchased on campus beginning in early May. Specific dates and times will be included in a later mailing. Commencement ceremony regalia may also be purchased via the mail. An order form will be enclosed.

Undergraduate Students
Graduates should be in their caps and gowns and assembled in Lindsay Hall no later than 9:00 a.m., on May 17. Graduates who arrive late may not be allowed to march as they are listed in the program. Diplomas will be available for pick-up at the Registrar’s Office immediately following the ceremony. Students should expect to attend the entire ceremony. No diplomas will be provided until the “gavel has fallen” and the ceremony has ended.

Graduate Students
Graduate commencement exercises will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2007, from 3:00 to approximately 4:30 p.m. The procession will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. The event is held rain or shine. Graduates should report to campus (exact location will be included in a mailing) with cap, gown and hood by 2:15 p.m. Instructions for the processional and degree conferral portions of the ceremony will be provided at that time. Immediately following the ceremony there will be a tent reception with fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, beverages and other refreshments for graduates and their guests.
