Commencement 2010

UNDERGRADUATE COMMENCEMENT exercises will be held on Saturday, May 15 from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m.

Commencement 2010 takes place on the South Campus, under the tent on the football field. Indoor viewing on large monitors will be available in the Dana Center.  The procession begins promptly at 10:00 a.m., and the saving of seats will not be permitted, so please plan your arrival accordingly. Buses will run from the parking lots on the Main Campus to the South Campus. The event is held rain or shine.

Immediately following the ceremony, there will be a tent reception with refreshments for graduates and their guests, and the university community.

GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS
Graduating students receive five formal announcements to send to family and friends. Available in early April, these announcements can be picked up at the Registrar’s Office. Additional graduation announcements, both generic and personalized, may be purchased at the university bookstore. Graduation announcements are not seating tickets.

SEATING FOR GUESTS
Guest seating is located under the tent on the football field. The tent will be equipped with large viewing screens. Seats are available to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis. For guests who prefer to sit indoors, the ceremony is broadcast live on large video screens in the Dana Center. All indoor locations have comfortable seats, unobstructed views and easy access to restrooms.

The saving of seats prior to Commencement is not permitted. If your family or group would like to sit together at the ceremony, please plan your arrival accordingly. Ushers have been instructed to request that signs, tape and other devices be removed so that all seats will be available to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis.


GRADUATE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
Graduate commencement exercises will be held on Saturday, May 15, from 3:00 to approximately 4:30 p.m.

Commencement 2010 takes place on the South Campus, inside the Dana Center.  The procession begins promptly at 3:00 p.m., so please plan your arrival accordingly. Buses will run from the parking lots on the Main Campus to the South Campus. The event is held rain or shine.

Graduates should report to campus (exact location will be included in a later mailing) with cap, gown and hood by 2:15 p.m. Instructions for the processional and degree conferral portions of the ceremony will be provided at that time.

CAPS AND GOWNS
Caps, gowns and hoods are required for commencement participation and may be purchased on campus beginning in early May. Specific dates and times will be included in a later mailing.

GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS

Additional graduation announcements, both generic and personalized, may be purchased at the Bentley bookstore. Graduation announcements are not seating tickets.

SEATING FOR GUESTS
An unlimited number of guests may be invited to graduation. No tickets are required. Guest seating is located inside the gymnasium in the Dana Center. Please advise your guests to arrive early as seating is first come, first served, and the saving of seats will not be permitted.
