Panel Description:

Financial planners and advisors play a key role in helping many consumers gain a comprehensive understanding of their financial situation. They  use systems to help them understand a client’s financial situation, decide what recommendations/strategies to provide, and provide visualizations that can be shared with a client and used to guide a discussion. These systems must support the two hats that planners/advisors wear as both users of systems and as an interpreter of the systems’ output to their clients.

Join a group of user researchers who work on these systems as they discuss their experiences with a financial planner and a financial advisor. Topics will include the current state of the financial systems used by advisors and planners, challenges of designing systems for planners/advisors, and how those systems could better help them with their responsibilities and improve the situation of their clients.
