Senior Usability Consultant

Fiona Tranquada is a Senior Usability Consultant at the Design and Usability Center. Fiona has spent more than 10 years improving the user experience through usability, user-centered design, and technical writing. Her experience includes managing usability projects for clients across many industries including education, financial services, healthcare, e-commerce, and mobile technologies.

Fiona recently co-authored (with Tom Tullis and Marisa Siegel) the Presentation of Information chapter in the second edition of the Handbook of Human Factors in Web Design. She holds a BA in Professional Writing and Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and a MS in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University. She is Secretary for the Boston chapter of the International Usability Professionals' Association, and a member of Boston CHI, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, and HIMSS.
