    Job Description: OPPORTUNITY: CISS understands that our international student population is more likely to engage with social media than any other means. We are creating this position as a way of performing better, more comprehensive outreach methods to our students. We want to make sure they know about the opportunities and resources available through the CISS. The student in this position will utilize and enhance their social media, marketing, and publicity skills. He/She will be exposed to international education by working with international students and scholars and gain an understanding of the responsibilities of an International Student & Scholar Advisor (ARO/DSO). This is a paid position. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Office Assistant for Social Media, Marketing and Publicity will play an integral role in increasing the CISS social media presence. The person will be primarily responsible for creating and developing marketing flyers, updating and maintaining and creating new social media accounts (we are currently on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and WeChat), and promoting upcoming office events using these means. The OA will also gain experience in general office duties and in general advising for international students and scholars. The OA will have access to CISS databases, including: ISSM, Outlook, Access, Slate, ImageNow, Banner Software, and others. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for maintaining and updating CISS’ social media presence for the following accounts: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and any new accounts deemed necessary for social media or creation of marketing materials (SnapChat, Flickr, Canva…) o Updating CISS profile o Posting pictures/comments o Liking/sharing/reposting posts from other university offices and/or other reputable agencies/institutions affiliated with international education o Follow accounts of other Bentley departments/employees • Develop and create flyers and other materials needed to promote CISS events (i.e. flyer for Travel Signature night), using Canva and other software • Run features on CISS student employees and staff, and highlight CISS programming • Assist with routine office administrative work and other duties as assigned • Triage front desk services with other student employees • Gain general understanding of importance/context of advising within the CISS • Advise on policies and procedures related to CISS and Bentley University in general REQUIREMENTS: • Experience and knowledge of administering social media tools our office uses including, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and WeChat. • Desire to gain experience in marketing, publicity/publications, social media, assessment • Strong interest in international education • Integrity is critical to this role as you will be using social media under the office’s name • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and intercultural communication skills

    Job Description: This job consists of: Answering phones; greeting visitors; mailings, photocopying; triaging the front desk; special projects, and assisting HR staff when needed. Previous experience in an office environment REQUIRED. HR is a very highly confidential office and student employee must be aware of this at all times. Hours/days needed are- Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays within 8:30a.m-4:30p.m. The student should have any time availabilities for these three days.
