Bill Buchholz teaches and pursues research in information design, information architecture, interface design, knowledge management, and content management. His work is published in the Journal of Business Communication; IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication; Journal of Business and Technical Communication; Corporate Communications: Theory and Practice; Communication Training and Consulting in Business, Industry and Government; and The Practice of Technical and Scientific Communication.
During more than 25 years in consulting and training, he has worked with clients that range from engineering corporations to nuclear utilities, federal government agencies to Fortune 500 firms. Buchholz consults on projects relating to web design, information architecture, document design and content development.
His extensive portfolio of research interests includes modular information design, effective web interfaces, accessibility issues, information architecture, user-centered web design with a technical focus, content management systems, and search and navigation via web interfaces.
