Aljohara (Johara) Alafaleq — Saudi Arabia
BS in Rehabilitation Science – Physical Therapy, King Saud University
Aljohara has channeled her passion for empowering women in Saudi Arabia into becoming the first female physical therapist in her city, located 371 kilometers from Riyadh. Her belief that volunteering is the first step to real leadership has led her to found a Better Life Volunteering team in Alhasa. This organization emphasizes and supports the contribution of young women to their communities. Aljohara’s aim is to establish a network of physical therapy clinics and rehab hospitals in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
Ashish Fernando — India
MS in Biotechnology, Sathyabama University; BS in Biotechnology, Pune University
A program management professional specializing in client development, resource management and financial planning, Ashish has managed staff and human resource development for a $3.5 million account headquartered in New York City. In this role, he has developed financial and quantitative models for revenue assessment, cost projections, margin calculations and financial analysis. He has supervised and coached junior consultants in the fields of revenue management, budgeting and cost-driven management. He has also volunteered with multiple NGOs across India over the past three years and is dedicated to serving the orphaned and underprivileged.
Bashar Moussallieh — Syria
Master of Science, Technology and Health in Biochemistry, University of Paris XI; BS in Applied Chemistry, Damascus University
Bashar is a biochemist who served for seven years as the technical sales manager for the agency representing Dow Chemical in Syria and Lebanon, and for the group representing Solvin in Syria, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Kuwait. In this position, Bashar used his project management skills to introduce new products in the manufacture of more efficient solar heaters and high-quality refrigerators. He was also the in-house expert in SAP systems, giving him insights into B2B supply-chain dynamics in the Middle East and international trade between Europe and the Middle East.
Craig Richey — Canada
Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management, University of Victoria
Originally from British Columbia, Craig worked for three years at Neverblue Media, an online advertising agency, before switching focus to pursue a career as a professional cyclist. He found both success and adventure on the bike, finishing on the podium at epic races like the Mongolia Bike Challenge and living in Belgium for two seasons while racing the Cyclocross World Cup circuit. His consistent results have earned him a spot on the Canadian national team for three consecutive years, most recently wearing the maple leaf to a 34th-place finish at the 2013 UCI Cyclocross World Championships. Craig has found a balance between sport and business in running a successful online marketing business while traveling the world racing.
Daniel Alvarez — Colombia
BS in Industrial Engineering, Florida State University
Upon graduation from Florida State, Daniel joined his family business, selling auto parts. His growing interest in China led him to travel there to learn about Chinese manufacturing. Moving into the family business’s purchasing department, he has helped establish an improved procurement system for automobile shock absorbers from Chinese factories. Most recently, he has been working on establishing an affiliate company for sales in Chile.
Don Khoury — Canada
BA in Political Science, Wheaton College
Building on a successful career in sales that saw him named to the President’s Club at Xerox Canada, Don began to specialize in the role of non-verbal communications in management and sales. He has worked with such clients as the Bank of Nova Scotia and Royal LePage to develop programs in non-verbal communication, team building, strategic planning and peer leadership. Most recently, Don has expanded his reach to work with politicians on best practices in communicating. As part of this work, he developed an algorithm to predict the results of 35 of the 37 gubernatorial elections in 2010 and President Barack Obama’s 2012 victory — 10 months ahead of the election. Don has been invited to speak at several universities, companies and government agencies to share his expertise on non-verbal communication and his method on election predictions. He has also appeared on local and national television and in print media.
Edwin Herrera — Colombia
MA in Finance, Universidad de los Andes; BA in International Business
Edwin has worked in the finance and controllership areas, most recently for the Colombian branch of Givaudan, a Swiss-based flavor and fragrances company, and for Banco de Bogota. In this position, Edwin was responsible for managing regional office activities, as well as for most of the aspects of corporate finance, including forecasting, internal controls, model design, analysis and investment valuation.
Elisaveta Tsvetkova — Bulgaria
Master in Peace Research and International Politics, University of Tübingen; BA in International Relations, University of National and World Economy, Sofia
Elisaveta has spent the past five years coordinating and supervising projects for the not-for-profit German liberal political Foundation for Freedom Friedrich Naumann in Romania and Moldova. As a project coordinator, she was responsible for planning and designing educational seminars and political conferences and for supervising the organization and implementation of these events with the foundation’s partners — particularly liberal parties and their youth and women’s organizations, think tanks and journalists. She has also organized training for groups in Romania and Moldova, as well as arranging weekly networking meetings of German-speaking expatriates in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Esteban Hunt — Argentina
BS in Business Economics, Torcuato Di Tella University
Esteban has seven years of experience in marketing consumer goods, including helping with the launch of the Coca-Cola Zero brand in Argentina. He was also the product manager for the Lucchetti brand of pasta, one of the product lines of Molinos Rio de la Plata, a leading Argentine food producer. Under Esteban’s management, Lucchetti became the leading brand in Argentina in the pasta and four other product categories.
Evita Florendo — Philippines
MBA, Tulane University; BA in Liberal Arts, Assumption Convent, Philippines
Upon finishing university, Evita’s first work experience was with the Philippines’ Ministry of Agriculture as a management consultant for rice and corn. She moved on to work for her family’s thrift bank, First Peso Savings & Loan, and for another of her family’s businesses, Ocampo’s Gemologists and Jewelers Inc., a retail chain of jewelry stores. During this period, she also joined PSI, a not-for-profit enterprise, where she organized seminars on personal leadership skills for executives, clergy and teens. After moving to the United States, Evita was invited to join many NGOs and not-for-profit groups, including Gawad Kalinga (GK), an organization that focuses on alleviating poverty and on nation-building; Life Resources Inc., dedicated to transforming troubled youth who have faced abuse and exploitation; and the Massachusetts General Hospital’s chaplaincy.
Farraj Omar — Libya
MS in Accountancy; BS in Accountancy
Farraj has held a number of positions in finance and accounting, including a time as an inspector for the Libyan national commercial bank, deputy manager of the risk department for the Libyan fund in Africa, and deputy manager of the audit department at the national commercial bank. During the Libyan revolution, he worked with the prime minister’s deputy and was in charge of the main accounts in the Ministry of Finance and Oil. Farraj also has taught accounting at the University of Benghazi and at Al-asmarya University. He has served as a trainer in national programs supported by Shell Oil and the Libyan government focused on small- and medium-size enterprises.
Isavella Georgiou — Greece

Isabella has been active in not-for-profit management for more than 10 years, most recently as an international affairs consultant at the Greek offices of KEAN, an organization supporting youth education, youth rights, environmental concerns and innovation. There she developed, launched and managed the organization’s key educational tool for U.S. groups. At the same time she held the position of director of prevention at Love146, a Greek organization devoted to fight child trafficking and exploitation. She has recently been assigned as a member to the board for the Greek Council for Refugees, a group for which she has been volunteering for more than a decade. In addition to her not-for-profit work, Isabella also has developed and produced a feature on the 2008 financial crisis for CNN International in London.
Mariia Potapkina — Russia

Mariia joins Bentley University with more than eight years of experience in management, investments and consulting with a focus on business operations and strategy. Before becoming the dean of the Graduate Department at the Baikal International Business School (Irkutsk State University), she conducted different qualitative analyses, and created strategies and risk-mitigation plans for the joint Russian-American Oil and Gas Company. She has also served as a professor and as manager of the Russian-American program at the Baikal International Business School. Mariia is interested in innovation, business strategy, personal growth and development, business education and risk management.
Maritza Hall — United States

Born in Cuba and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Maritza has designed and managed organizational development consulting engagements in such areas as employee performance management practices, human capital management, change management, leadership and staff development, process improvement, conflict resolution, strategic analysis, creative problem solving and organizational effectiveness. She has held positions in human resources and organizational development at Princeton University, MIT, Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, NYU Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital and the American Red Cross of Greater New York.
Mena Mahaniah — United States
BA in Economics, Bryn Mawr; AAS, Fashion Institute of Technology
After focusing on international economic relations at Bryn Mawr, Mena’s path took an unexpected turn into the world of fashion, initially as a buyer, then, after further study at the Fashion Institute of Technology, as a designer. Mena has designed collections and created ad campaigns for brands including DKNY, Ecko Unltd, Zoo York, Disney and Eddie Bauer. Her expertise lies specifically within the young adolescent market and focuses on translating American product and branding concepts for international outlets, most recently including Australia. Her work has been featured in fashion magazines such as Lucky, Glamour and Seventeen.
Partha Panda — India
MD, SCB Medical College
After a brief experience in clinical medicine, Partha joined the start-up company Raksha TPA, promoted by the Escorts Group of Companies, a $5 billion diversified Indian conglomerate. There, he moved through operations, business development, budgeting, technology, process automation and new sales, eventually reaching the position of vice president of strategy and planning, managing expansion in India and organizing a joint-venture partnership in the Middle East. In the past 12 years, Partha has held strategic and operational leadership roles within the health-care industry, including service as chief operating officer of UnitedHealthcare India, a fully owned subsidiary of United Health Group, a $100 billion health-care company. His most recent post was as vice president and head of network and quality assurance at Oman Insurance Company, the largest insurer in the Middle East, where he managed the provider network in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Qing He — People’s Republic of China
BS in Actuarial Science and Finance, Drake University
Qing was born and raised in China, but left home at the age of 16 to be an exchange student in Sacramento, California. She later moved to Des Moines, Iowa, to attend Drake University. After graduation, she went into the pension consulting field in the Sacramento and San Francisco areas. In 2011, taking advantage of the rising demand of luxury products among Chinese consumers, she moved back to China to start her own business in retail procurement. In 2012, Qing moved to Malaysia to work as a business analyst at Ipsos Business Consulting, where she was the co-leader of the largest consumer research project in Malaysia.
Raffaele Del Sarto — Italy
MS in Internationalization, ISFOR University; BS in Business Administration, Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College
After a brief experience in sales consultancy, Raffaele returned to university for his Master of Science in Internationalization. This led him to an internship with the Italian Trade Commission in Bucharest. Following this, he moved to Bratislava, where he was responsible for establishing a rubber molding production plant. Raffaele then returned to his native Italy as an export manager, travelling extensively in Europe and the Middle East. Most recently, fascinated by renewable energy technology, within four years he built a dealer network in Italy for solar panel leader SunPower, serving the firm as regional sales manager.
Rob Gifford — United States
BA in Psychology, Gordon College
For more than five years, Rob has focused on user-experience design, enjoying the complex mix of understanding human behavior and designing creative approaches. After finishing his undergraduate degree, Rob helped to start a successful Web-marketing company. Most recently, he has been working as lead designer on a number of websites and products in advertising and health care, using his experience to bring in elements of entrepreneurial thinking and strategy.
Said Guliyev — Azerbaijan

Said has more than 18 years of work experience, 12 of them in international business, having begun his career at the Geology Institute of Azerbaijan, where he researched oil- and gas-field exploration and production. In 2000, he started as a product manager at BestComp, an IT distribution company with operations in Azerbaijan, the nation of Georgia and other countries in Central Asia. Currently, Said is now a deputy general manager at BestComp, handling the Georgian and United Arab Emirates branch offices.
Stamatina (Matina) Keramida — Greece

Matina has eight years of experience in brand, product and marketing management and communications. Her professional course as a marketer started within the banking sector, holding product management roles at Geniki Bank S.A. (at that time part of the Société Générale Group) and Citibank International plc. At that time, she undertook the launch and management of consumer banking products, some of which were developed in co-operation with leading global brands such as Inditex. Feeling the need to broaden her experience within a faster environment, she moved into retail and became part of Intersport, the worldwide leader in the sporting-goods retail market. Most recently she served as market communication manager, handling the company’s marketing strategy and planning for Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey and using her previous experience in service management to launch sophisticated consumer intelligence tools.
Suman Akkinepally — India

Suman has over 12 years of experience in more than 10 countries in IT client services, including analysis and delivery of deals worth up to $5 million. He has coached, mentored and managed multiple teams focusing on IT application development, maintenance and support, while providing consulting to companies in North America, the Asia-Pacific region, and Europe and the Middle East. He has participated in bid management and RFP/RFQ processes and has delivered more than 30 IT projects related to application outsourcing, mergers and acquisitions, and IT infrastructure. Suman has won corporate awards for his people-management and team-building skills. He also has lectured on leadership and motivation for IT employees in organizations and to students at engineering colleges.
Thomas Daly — United States
BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Tom is co-founder of Dyn, a leading provider of Internet Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), including managed DNS and email delivery, to such companies as Twitter, Etsy and CNBC. During his 12 years at Dyn, Tom has served as engineer, systems architect, chief technology officer, chief scientist, executive and board member, playing a key role in the architecture, design and deployment of Dyn’s global IP anycast network, spanning nearly 20 datacenters, 10 countries and 5 continents. Tom was recognized in 2012 both by the New Hampshire High Tech Council as Entrepreneur of the Year and the Boston Business Journal as CIO of the Year. He is also an active angel investor and adviser.
