During the weekend of March 7-9, 2014, Bentley University HFID graduate students Deborah Spector, Heather Bauer and Neha Raghuvanshi, along with Autodesk Senior User Experience Designer Jessamyn Miller, held the Boston Service Jam, joining Global Service Jam events held in 49 countries around the world where teams conceive of and prototype new services based on a common theme in 48 hours. Shawnette Adams, a Bentley University Human Factors in Information Design (HFID) M.S. candidate, received a Black Engineer of the Year - Modern Day Technology Leader Award in Washington, DC on February 7, 2014. This award was sponsored by the BEYA STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Global Competitiveness Conference, in which Shawnette was 1 of 15 awardees from the Northrop Grumman Corporation.
