Masters in Financial Planning Career Outcomes

According to U.S. News & World Report, the financial planning profession is expected to be one of the nation’s fastest-growing fields during the next decade, characterized by the potential for above-average salaries, upward mobility, and schedule flexibility.

Graduates of our Masters of Financial Planning program benefit from longstanding recruiting and placement relationships that Bentley has with regional, national, and global firms. Recent graduates have accepted positions at some of the world’s leading firms — Bank of America, Harkins Wealth Management, ING Group, John Hancock Financial Services, Mellon Financial, Merrill Lynch, Paine Webber, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Prudential Financial, Spinnaker Capital, and UBS, among others — with positions including assurance associate, managing director, wealth management adviser, and first vice president.

Placement rates in the field consistently average nearly 100 percent.

In addition, the Masters of Financial Planning provides excellent preparation for earning professional financial planner certification. In fact, our program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and provides the requisite education to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. For students with the appropriate academic background, the program satisfies the fifth-year academic requirement to become a licensed certified public accountant in many states, including Massachusetts.

And, as a graduate of the Masters of Financial Planning program, you’ll tap into Bentley’s powerful global alumni network of thousands of fellow alumni eager to aid in your job search and ongoing professional development. Plus, you’ll get access to lifetime career services support from the Graduate School.
