Master's in Human Factors in Information Design Program Overview

At Bentley, the user experience begins with a solid understanding of human behavior, enriched by detailed user research, which leads to product insights and design innovation.

Bentley’s Human Factors Program educates tomorrow’s leaders in the user experience (UX) profession. We emphasize the strategic role of UX in business through enhancing an organization’s competitive advantage.

User experience design requires a comprehensive understanding of people and what they value, including their goals, abilities and limitations.

The Bentley program:

  • Helps students recognize the role that design plays in competitively positioning the business. This ability places MSHFID students in high demand for senior-level positions at leading companies.

  • Prepares students for a variety of careers, including user experience researcher, user experience designer, or interaction designer.

  • Provides students with the opportunity to interact with professionals in diverse industries.

  • Enables participation in an active learning community and powerful network.

The program combines a deep understanding of human behavior and perception to inform product design and optimize the user experience. Our graduates have the ability to move quickly from research and data to innovative design solutions.
