Evening MBA

 

Designed with the working professional in mind, the Evening MBA program offers flexibility, choice, and the possibility of credit for prior academic work. The program accommodates the work schedule of part-time students, while also allowing for full-time study to minimize the amount of time away from the workplace.

MBA Core

Portfolio 360 programs give students the tools needed to succeed in today’s complex business environment. The Evening MBA core comprises four courses that spotlight the role of information technology in business, pathways to improve business processes, ethical leadership, and strategies for competing in the global marketplace.

Study on Campus or Online

Evening MBA students can take courses on the Bentley campus, from home, or at work. All pre-program and program foundation courses are available online, as are courses for the MBA concentrations in financial planning and taxation.

Dual Degree Options

Portfolio 360 allows students to earn both the Evening MBA and one of the seven Master of Science degrees offered at the McCallum Graduate School. By combining the general business skills acquired through the Evening MBA with the focused expertise of an MS degree, students bring a unique set of qualifications to their job search. Credits from four courses apply to both degrees, enabling students to earn a valuable extra credential by completing just six additional courses.

By pursuing up to two concentrations, Evening MBA students can focus on the areas best suited to their interests and career goals. Choose from an expanded menu of discipline-based concentrations, which emphasize a specific business field, or theme-based concentrations, which examine topics and trends that cut across industries. Program Foundation Courses

Students who have a business degree from an undergraduate institution accredited by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) or EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), are waived from all foundation courses. Students pursue the MBA core and two sets of concentration courses, for a total of 36 credits. Those who have received a business degree from a non-AACSB or EQUIS accredited institution may be eligible to waive the foundation courses, subject to a transcript review.

Concentrations
Eight Courses (24 credit hours)

Students in the Evening MBA program select two concentrations to customize their degree in a way that best suits their career goals. The Bentley MBA offers an expanded menu of discipline-based concentrations, which emphasize a specific business field, or theme-based concentrations, which examine topics and trends that cut across industries. Students have the option to choose one concentration and use the remaining 12 credits to pursue courses from various departments.

Foundation Work

The foundation courses below are required to ensure students have the appropriate educational background for this program. If you have earned an undergraduate business degree or an MBA from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited institution you automatically waive out of all foundation courses and can begin the evening MBA in only 12 courses of study.

Any student who has taken statistics or economics at the undergraduate level may be eligible to waive each course, subject to a transcript review.
