Risk Management Concentration

Prepares students to address the risks that are an inherent part of any business environment. Examines internal and external factors related to risk, including the ability of the organization to recognize and control potential risks. Students learn strategies for guarding against risk in a particular business, and for addressing the associated ethical and governance issues. The concentration offers three tracks: enterprise risk management; security, privacy and regulation; and IT/IS risk management.

To focus your concentration in Enterprise Risk Management, choose from AC 744, ETH 750, FI 685, FI 710 and IPM 723.
To focus your concentration in Security, Privacy and Regulatory Compliance, choose IPM 722 and IPM 723 and either AC 742, ETH 700, ETH 750, LA 720 or LA 725.
To focus your concentration in IT/IS Risk Management, choose from AC 742, CS 605, CS 607, CS 610, CS 620, CS 801, IPM 722 or IPM 723.
