Management Information Systems
Bentley is a technology rich environment. For students, staff and faculty it is hard to escape or to underestimate the impact of information on our lives. Much of the software we rely on depends on the work of the technical professionals in the Management Information Systems (MIS) department.
MIS supports the college’s institutional goals through design, development and support of the campus-wide administrative information systems.
It also evaluates and recommends new software, provides technical management and works collaboratively with faculty and staff on projects that ultimately enhance the student experience.
The department comprises three groups: Application Development (DEV), Enterprise Reporting (ER), and Technology Deployment and Integration (TDI).
The Application Development group is responsible for the ongoing management, enhancement and support of software applications that serve the students, faculty, administration and alumni.
As part of a multi-year initiative, the Enterprise Reporting group is creating a vendor-neutral reporting environment where most operational and management reporting will take place. This reporting environment also supports higher level research and analyses, providing data-driven answers to questions of strategic value to Bentley.
The Technology Deployment and Integration group connects project planning and implementation with various kinds of end-user support by identifying emerging needs and delivering improvement and innovation through process change and applied technology.
We invite you to explore the nature of our responsibilities and the spirit with which we embrace them in service to the Bentley community.
MIS serves the enterprise software needs of the Bentley community.
