BENTLEY ANNOUNCES THE
“2006 BUSINESS OF BASEBALL” WINNERS
Five high school students from Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia are breaking into the Major Leagues this summer, courtesy of Bentley University.
The five are winners in the “Break into the Business of Baseball” Challenge, sponsored by Bentley and MLB.com. They will spend a portion of their summer serving as interns with five Major League teams — the Boston Red Sox, the New York Mets, the Philadelphia Phillies, the Chicago Cubs and the Washington Nationals.
Bentley solicited 100-word essays from high school students nationwide — who explained why they should be chosen for one-month internships offered by five Major League Baseball teams or their online affiliate. After reviewing more than one thousand entries, the five winners were chosen by Bentley and each Major League team.
