M. Lynne Markus is the John W. Poduska, Sr. Professor of Information Management at Bentley. Her current research falls into three broad topic areas:
Inter-enterprise and Enterprise Systems: This topic area includes my research on vertical industry IS standards, B2B electronic marketplaces, systems integration both inside and among organizations, global electronic business, and the implementation and impact of ERP systems and data warehousing.
IT and Organizational Change: IT-enabled organizational changes like e-commerce, supply chain management, customer relationship management, business process reengineering, knowledge management, and enterprise systems implementation differ from non IT-based organizational changes in several important ways.
Knowledge Management: My work on virtual communities and knowledge management systems builds on my earlier work on electronic communication systems such as electronic mail and voice mail.
