The Bentley Service-Learning Center in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability will be hosting Bentley's first annual Fair Trade Fair. This will feature fair trade vendors, as well as a rotating schedule of speakers throughout the day, including some currently leading businesses in the fair trade movement.

Our Office of Sustainability will be hosting the first of many Environmental Film Series. The first is Gasland, a documentary by Oscar nominated filmmaker Josh Fox exploring the dangers of hydraulic fracturing or fracking. This is a controversial method of extracting natural gas and oil, now occurring on a global level.
The head of Global Compact, Georg Kell, will be at Bentley to speak on the UN's efforts to making advance ethical and socially responsible business practices on a global scale. In his talk, he will draw on insights from the upcoming Global Compact Leaders' Summit to reflect on the emerging architecture for responsible business.
