A new student organization has formed on campus, the Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC), a group dedicated to supporting a non-profit organization that they care deeply about- Bentley. To kick off the group formation, SALC will be hosting Philanthropy Week, which entails educational messaging around campus, expressions of student gratitude for their Bentley experience and endorsements of Bentley’s non-profit mission to educate tomorrow’s business leaders.

We are thrilled to announce that the speakers for our undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 18th will be Bert and John Jacobs, co-founders of The Life is Good Company. The two brothers will each receive an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree and will deliver the commencement address together during the undergraduate ceremony.
His project with Useagility principal Chrys Sullivan was a top 10 finalist in the Hackovate Health Innovation Competition. Gregg designed a website/mobile app that helps people understand how the Affordable Care Act affects them.
Bentley's new course "Career Development Introduction 101" is offered for all incoming Bentley freshmen and transfer students for the first time this year. It is a class that focuses on showing students what business is like, meeting with business representatives, doing mock interviews, elevator pitches and much more. On February 27th, Bentley will launch a new Center for Integration of Science & Industry founded on the need to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into a benefit to the consumer. This Center is a perfect example of how Bentley combines business and Arts & Sciences in a very unique way.
