On February 27th, Bentley will launch a new Center for Integration of Science & Industry founded on the need to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into a benefit to the consumer. This Center is a perfect example of how Bentley combines business and Arts & Sciences in a very unique way.
President Gloria Larson was a guest speaker at The Massachusetts Conference for Women, the largest women's conference in the state, offering community and connection, information and inspiration.
In the Eastern Regional Tournament of the America Collegiate Moot Court Association, two Bentley teams captured First and Fifth Seed among the 46 competing teams. Both teams will now advance to the National Tournament in January at Regent University Law School in Virginia.
A Bentley team took home second place against Northwestern University during the national finals of the College Fed Challenge, a competition that challenges undergraduates to analyze economic conditions and make monetary policy recommendations. The Bentley contingent advanced to the finals after winning the regional competition against 18 other schools, including Harvard, Dartmouth and Middlebury.
Foreign Policy magazine has named Ecomonics Professor Scott Sumner #15 on its annual list of the Top 100 Global Thinkers for his insights into U.S. monetary policy as shared on his popular blog, TheMoneyIllusion. Other notable honorees include President Barack Obama, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, and Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman.
