Bentley Alumni Win $5,000 Grant in National Business Competition; Need Public's Help To Win Grand Prize
May 28, 2009
Bentley alumni Joshua Davis and Bruno Tropeano, co-founders of The Gelato Fiasco, have progressed to the second phase of the nationwide Intuit Small Business United contest. Their goal is to receive the grand prize of a $25,000 small business grant to further the development of their Maine-based company. The Bentley alumni have already received a $5,000 grant for advancing in the competition after submitting a true story that happened to them as small business owners. The company is one of 50 selected nationally.
To be eligible for the grand prize, Davis and Tropeano have submitted a video entry about their business to the Intuit Small Business Web site. The public is invited to watch the video and vote for it until May 31. Votes will be taken into consideration during the final stage where the winning company will be chosen.
