Bentley Students,

I know the recent death of Erin Ortiz may have touched some of you very deeply.  Those who knew her, those who have lost other friends or loved ones, and those who just feel a strong connection to fellow students.  We often first turn to friends and family who can be the most helpful.  But when they cannot help or are unavailable, I would not want any of you to feel that there is no place where you can talk or grieve.

The Counseling Center is available for any student who would want a quiet place to talk and share feelings that may seem overpowering at this time.  Likewise, the Spiritual Life Center is also open to all as a place for comfort and solace.

Please feel free to drop in at any time of the day in either office.  The Counseling Center will be available until 6:00 p.m. each day this week and is located in 166 LaCava, near the Lower Café.  The Spiritual Life Center staff will also be on campus for expanded hours, and can be reached in the Student Life area for private meetings and the Sacred Space, which is across the hall, is available for quiet reflection.  Residence Life staff and Campus Police can always reach us after hours should the need arise.

We all share in this sadness, and together we can help each other as we pass through it.
