A documentary about the life and research of Daniel Everett, dean of arts and sciences at Bentley University, has captured international attention at one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world for television documentaries. 

Bentley University visiting scholar Philip DesAutels served as chairman of the jury for the Globe Forum's Globe Award for Sustainability Innovation 2011, which will be presented on May 12 at the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre in Sweden. Also serving on the jury of internationally recognized experts was Pierre Berthon, Bentley University marketing professor and Clifford F. Youse Chair of Marketing. DesAutels was also a featured speaker at the 2009 and 2010 Globe Forums.

Bentley University professors David Yates, Girish (Jeff) Gulati, and Joseph Weiss were honored with a Best paper Award at the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), held January 4 to 7, 2011.

Bentley University Provost Michael J. Page was elected to the AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) board of directors for a three-year term which takes effect July 1, 2011.  Page was one of nine prominent management education and business professionals elected by AACSB International members.  AACSB International is a global, nonprofit membership organization of educational institutions, businesses, and other entities devoted to the advancement of management education.

The Space Foundation named Bentley University faculty member George Fishman one of 38 outstanding space science educators for its 2011 Flight of Teacher Liaisons.
