The "College Edition" television show features students selected during "Millionaire's" first-ever contestant search. During the nationwide search, Julie was one of 30 students who were selected from among thousands who responded to the live, in-person auditions held in Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles. Each finalist had to pass a 30-question written test before advancing to a videotaped interview with a "Millionaire" producer at the audition site. Finalists were selected based on poise, sense of humor and television presence. ABC's Enhanced TV programming is jointly produced by Walt Disney Internet Group (NYSE:DIG) and the ABC Television Network.
