Bentley Signs Partnership Agreements with Four Schools Around the Globe
March 7, 2006
Bentley College announces four new partnerships with universities around the globe for student and faculty exchange, cultural enrichment, research and other activities outlined in the individual agreements.
"These new partnerships offer Bentley faculty, students and staff an opportunity to experience firsthand life in very different cultures while at the same time enriching our own campus," said Robert Galliers, provost and vice president for academic affairs. "We would be failing our students were we not to provide them with these diverse global opportunities. Doing business in the 21st Century means doing business globally and to do it successfully requires an international outlook and an appreciation of different cultural perspectives."
New partnerships include:
S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (Mumbai, India) Bentley's agreement with SPJIMR is a comprehensive one that covers short-term academic programs, exchange of students and faculty, joint research activities, seminars and conferences. SP JIMR doctoral students have benefited from Bentley faculty supervision and state-of-the-art technological facilities for two years now, but this agreement extends our relationship further still.
University of São Paulo (Brazil) Bentley's agreement with the School of Economics, Business Administration and Accountancy, at the University of São Paulo in São Paulo, arguably Brazil's top public university, allows international cooperation in the form of exchange of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as visiting scholars:
Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain) Bentley's new undergraduate exchange agreement with UPF in Barcelona, one of Spain's leading universities, allows Bentley's undergraduate students studying at UPF to choose from a wide range of courses that examine the diversity of Spanish culture, history, and politics. They can also enroll alongside Spanish degree-seeking students in select business courses taught in English. As part of the exchange agreement, Bentley will also take in undergraduate students from UPF.
Nanyang Business School (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) Bentley's new undergraduate exchange agreement with Nanyang Business School at NTU in Singapore allows Bentley's undergraduate students to study at NTU for one semester.
