CEOs Jeff Taylor of Monster.com and David Spina of State Street Corporation to Speak at Bentley College Commencements

WALTHAM, MASS.- Bentley College commencement speakers have been announced for the undergraduate and graduate ceremonies on Saturday, May 19. Jeff Taylor, CEO of Monster.comâ and TMP Interactive, will speak at Bentley College's 82nd Undergraduate Commencement at 10:00 a.m. and will receive an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree.
David Spina, chairman and CEO of State Street Corporation, one of the world's leading specialists in meeting the needs of sophisticated global investors, will be the keynote speaker at the Bentley College McCallum Graduate School of Business' 26th Commencement at 3:00 p.m. and will receive an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree.
Bentley will also award honorary a Doctor of Commercial Science degree to 1972 Bentley graduate M. Anthony Fisher, partner of Fisher Brothers, and an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree to Ronald Burton, executive consultant for Community Relations at John Hancock Financial Services.
Taylor is founder of Monster.com, the leading global online careers website and flagship brand of TMP Worldwide Inc. In addition to speaking frequently at technology, advertising and recruitment conferences, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Boston's Wang Center for Performing Arts and Massachusetts Junior Achievement. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Spina joined State Street in 1969 and has held a variety of positions within the corporation over the years, including chief operating officer, chief financial officer, executive vice president, and vice chairman. He was elected president of State Street in 1995, CEO in May 2000, and chairman in January 2001. Mr. Spina is actively involved in various state and community organizations such as the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation and the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from Harvard University.
