Public Accounting Report Ranks Bentley's Graduate and Undergraduate Accounting Programs Among the Top 25 in the Country

December 7, 2006

The Public Accounting Report's (PAR) Annual Professor's Survey has ranked the accounting programs at Bentley College -- both graduate and undergraduate -- in the top 25 nationally. Bentley is the only school included from the Northeast.

The survey asks accounting professors, department heads and department chairs to name the undergraduate and graduate degree programs they feel most consistently turn out students capable of someday attaining partner status. According to PAR, this year's graduate rankings were the most competitive in its 25 year history.

"Receiving national recognition from the accounting professors who are our peers is the highest form of praise," says Mark Nixon, Accounting Department Chair at Bentley. "It is gratifying to see the work we have done on our curriculum, keeping it current and relevant, and the rising quality of our faculty over the past several years recognized at a national level."

PAR ranked schools in both the undergraduate and graduate that offer degrees in accounting or that have accounting program curriculum that is comparable to schools that do offer accounting degrees. PAR is the only published survey of accounting programs.
