U.S. Senator John Kerry and Fleet Financial Group Chair Terrence Murray to Speak at Bentley College Commencements

WALTHAM, MASS.- Bentley College Commencement speakers have been announced for the undergraduate and graduate ceremonies on Saturday, May 15. Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.) will be the speaker at Bentley College's 80th Undergraduate Commencement at 10:00 a.m., and will receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree. Terrence Murray, chairman and chief executive officer of the Fleet Financial Group, will be the keynote speaker at the Bentley College Graduate School of Business' 24th Commencement at 3:00 p.m. He will receive an honorary Doctorate of Commercial Science.
At the undergraduate ceremony, Bentley will also award an honorary Doctorate of Commercial Science to Robert Davis, president, CEO and founder of Lycos, Inc., one of the Internet's most powerful search engines and hubs.

Terrence Murray, as chairman and CEO of Fleet Financial Group since 1982, has built Fleet into one of the largest financial institutions in the country, with $104 billion in assets. Most recently, Fleet has announced a merger with BankBoston, which will create the eighth-largest bank in the United States, with its headquarters in Boston.
