Undergraduate students in a Corporate Immersion Marketing class taught by James Pouliopoulos spent their fall semester testing the usability and effectiveness of an iPad app implemented by Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) in their dealers to improve customer experience and close sales.
Bentley teams were seeded first and fifth out of 46 teams competing in the Eastern Regional Tournament of the American Collegiate Moot Court Association, a competition where student teams simulate arguments before the Supreme Court.
The Bentley team came in second place to Northwestern University during the ninth annual national finals of the College Fed Challenge, a competition for undergraduate students that challenges them to analyze economic and financial conditions and formulate a monetary policy recommendation.
Papa Sarr, Bentley’s Director of the Center for International Students and Scholars, recently spent two weeks in Germany studying the country’s culture and educational system as a recipient of a Fulbright award to the U.S. – Germany International Education Administrators Program.
Bentley University won the New England Competition of the College Fed Challenge, held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, beating out 18 undergraduate universities from the First Federal Reserve District including three-time national champion Harvard University. Bentley advances to the National Competition to represent New England on November 27 in Washington, DC.

Bentley University has named Kenneth B. Cody to the newly created position of Vice President for Administration and Finance. Cody comes to Bentley with more than 25 years of experience as a finance and administrative professional in higher education, with a history of significant accomplishments, most recently as vice chancellor and treasurer/CFO for the University System of New Hampshire (USNH).
Dr. Khedija Arfaoui, a feminist activist and one of the leading intellectuals in Tunisia, joins Bentley as a visiting scholar with the Valente Center for the Arts and Sciences.
On Wednesday, October 24, The Face of Finance: Designing Usable Financial Systems Conference will be held at LaCava Center on the Bentley University campus from 8:00 to 6:30 p.m. Congressman Barney Frank, the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee, and Ramit Sethi, the author of the New York Times best-selling book, I Will Teach You to be Rich, will be the keynote speakers.
