In the most recent U.S News & World Report rankings of America's Best Colleges 2008, Bentley is ranked among the Top 50 "Best Business Programs" in the country (#48) and among the Top 10 "Best Universities -Masters, North" (#6). On August 11, Bentley College students and faculty will journey to Mmofra Trom, a home for children near the village of Trom in Ghana, West Africa, to work on a long-term economic development partnership between the Center and the business school.
Bentley College and IBM co-sponsored the Decision Sciences Institute's conference on service science in May at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. A total of two Best Paper Awards and eight student scholarships were presented at the event, which was chaired by Bentley Professor of Management Mark Davis.
As part of an ongoing partnership with the University of São Paulo, Bentley College offered a certificate program on Management of Innovation and Technology in June. Twenty-one students and alumni from the University of São Paulo attended the program, which provided a forum to discuss concepts, tools, and best-in-class practices for managing effectively in technology-based business environments.
Bentley junior Jason Polcaro received a $1,000 scholarship from Beta Gamma Sigma's Boston Area Alumni Chapter. Beta Gamma Sigma is an honor society serving business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition business students worldwide can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
High school students from across the country gathered at Bentley College on July 22 for Wall Street 101, a week-long business camp that gives future financiers an inside look at the financial industry and business fields - from NASDAQ to IPOs to Dow Jones.
