Remembering George Kane '25

Vision and Stewardship

George E. Kane ’25, a noted business leader and philanthropist who enjoyed a long and successful career in banking and investment advising, died on November 10, 2009. He was 104 years old and had been involved with Bentley University for most of his life.

Remembering Professor Timothy Sullivan

Timothy Sullivan, a professor of finance at Bentley, died on January 26, 2011. He joined the faculty in 1979 and was founding chair of the Finance Department.
“Tim was remarkable, both as a friend and as a colleague,” says George Ellenbogen, emeritus professor of English. “He made my life – and the lives of his colleagues – richer. And he made our institution better.”

Remembering Richard Cross

Through exemplary teaching, fair and rigorous course work, and a deep commitment to students, the professor furthered academic and professional success for scores of Bentley graduates.  Commencement 2008 — over which he presided in his longtime role as ceremonial marshal — marked the close of Professor Cross’s long career at Bentley. His retirement from the faculty prompted the school to establish the Richard L. Cross Fund for Excellence in Accountancy Education.
