Edward J. Ciaschi, Rushville, N.Y., has taken a part-time position as director of the Organizational Learning & Human Resource Development graduate program at Saint John Fisher College.

Eclipsys Corporation, The Outcomes Company, announced that Cosmo Battinelli, Winchester, Mass., has joined the firm as senior vice president of product support services.

Joseph G. DiLorenzo, Humarock, Mass., managing officer at Plymouth Rock Studios in Plymouth, Mass., was elected national chair of Financial Executives International, having served as vice chair for the previous year.

Amesbury-based Provident Bank has welcomed Gary E. Coltin, West Peabody, Mass., to its executive team as senior vice president of retail banking, marketing and public relations.

William L. Gemmell, Hackensack, N.J., has joined Town Car International as chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

Paramax Corporation in western New York has appointed Robert F. Coleman, Medford, Mass., to be senior vice president of the investment banking group; he is responsible for the firm’s Boston office.

Adele M. Annesi, Ridgefield, Conn., a writer and an editor with Gartner Inc., emceed “A Literary Evening with the Ridgefield Writers’ Guild,” as part of the “Ridgefield Writes” 300th anniversary celebration at the Ridgefield Library. The alumna also presented her “flash fiction” piece A Portrait of Lincoln.

Kenneth P. Martin, West Roxbury, Mass., has been promoted to general manager of Winter, Wyman & Company’s New England Accounting and Finance, and Investments and Financial Services divisions. He previously served the same divisions as senior partner and manager.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has approved the appointment of Martin F. Connors Jr. ’90 MST, Leominster, Mass., to the Board of Trustees at Fitchburg State College.

Mark E. Ahern, New York, N.Y., has returned to the United States with his family after living in London for five years. He is managing director at Seix Investment Advisors, located in Upper Saddle River, N.J. The Boston Globe has appointed Robert M. Powers, Lexington, Mass., to the position of vice president, communications and public affairs. His responsibilities include external and internal communications, as well as community relations.

Jeanne M. Schuster, Abington, Mass., executive director, exempt organization tax services for Ernst & Young LLP, spoke at the Knowledge Congress fall event on Form 990 update.

Michael P. Connelly, West Roxbury, Mass., a writer for The Boston Herald, is releasing the book Rebound!: Basketball, Busing, Larry Bird, and the Rebirth of Boston. It chronicles the upheaval in 1970s Boston, both among the citizenry and on the parquet.

Pioneer Investments announced that Anthony J. Koenig Jr. ’05 MSCF, Beverly, Mass., has been appointed senior administrative officer in the U.S. investment division.

Kurt M. Heinrich, Taunton, Mass., has joined Cambridge Savings Bank as vice president, profitability manager. Towerstream — a leading fixed WiMAX service provider — has named Joseph P. Hernon ’MSA, Hopkinton, Mass., as the organization’s chief financial officer.

Christina M. Costanza, Sandwich, Mass., is now chief financial officer at Community Health Center of Cape Cod.

Martin F. Connors Jr. ’MST, ’83 BS, Leominster, Mass., has been named to the Board of Trustees at Fitchburg State College.

Edward P. Demeritt, King of Prussia, Penn., was accepted into the Organizational Leadership master’s degree program at Eastern University. He also has joined Delaware Investments in Philadelphia as a training specialist.

The Law Offices of James Sokolove have welcomed Margaret E. Shaughnessy, Newtonville, Mass., as the company’s new accounting manager.

Paul R. Marobella, Oak Park, Ill., is managing director of Wirestone, a marketing services agency. He and his wife, Joann, are enjoying life in Chicago with their two little girls.

Mintz & Hoke Communications Group has announced the arrival of Gary Druckenmiller Jr., West Hartford, Conn., as vice president, director of customer engagement. He is responsible for bringing client brands to life in a compelling way.

John A. Gordon ’MBA, Franklin, Mass., has joined Bancnorth Investment Group Inc. as a financial adviser. He is based out of the TD Banknorth branch in Wellesley Hills.

1998 Carla Matias Rosa, North Dartmouth, Mass., and her twin sister, Claudia, proudly announce the opening of Marina Home Mortgage Corporation, located in New Bedford, Mass. She and her husband are the proud parents of 7-year-old Noah and 3-year-old Hannah.

2000 has hired auto industry rising star Matthew J. Lamoureux, Townsend, Mass., as vice president of business development and strategic planning. He was a presenter at the National Automobile Dealers Association Conference, exploring “A Matter of Trust: Online Advertising Builds Credibility and Drives Sales.”

Brigitte Wudernitz Muehlmann ’MST, Waltham, Mass., an associate professor at Suffolk University, received the 2008 American Taxation Association/Deloitte Teaching Innovation Award for her work with a course called the Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global World of Taxation.

Paul D. Coccovillo, Sacramento, Calif., has accepted a position as controller at Verifone Inc. The company brought him on board to rally the finance staff in its Sacramento office.

Jessica (Mazzola) Bennett ’MSCIS, Key West, Fla., has been elected to represent the state of Florida on the Southeast Travel and Tourism Research Association’s Board of Directors. Bennett is director of marketing research for the Florida Keys and Key West Tourist Development Council. She resides in Key West with her husband, Brian M. Bennett ’96.

Eric J. Olson, Chicago, Ill., has accepted an associate director position at DFJ Portage Venture Partners in Northfield. He has also co-founded TECH cocktail (, a community- building organization for bloggers, technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and professionals.

Matthew W. Felumlee, Newark, Ohio, was promoted to the rank of captain in the United States Army. He is stationed in Iraq.
