Starting a New Chapter
This article originally appeared in the Bentley Magazine.
Last month, the Center for Alumni, Parents and Friends had the distinct pleasure of welcoming the newest members of our alumni community: the Bentley Class of 2011. The moment they crossed the stage and accepted their diploma, these former undergraduate and graduate students closed one chapter of their Bentley experience and began an exciting new journey.
The relationship between a university and its alumni is a special one. Unlike the student experience, it lasts a lifetime. The involvement and contributions of alumni are highly valued at Bentley. We are exceptionally proud of the strong bond you share with one another.
My advice to the Class of 2011 is to take full advantage of your newfound alumni status and ongoing relationship with the university. Attend our events. Seek out fellow graduates for networking. Tap into career services designed for every stage of professional life. Get involved in our Alumni Association. For a relatively small university, we have a deep and powerful network that bleeds Bentley blue, and provides an assortment of ways to get involved.
Remember, your alumni network is only as strong as you make it, so stay connected and know that Bentley is always here for you.
Once again – a warm welcome to our newest alumni. You make us proud!
