Auditory 
Learn best when hearing the material.
  • Recite Material out loud when studying/reading
  • Tape class sessions (be sure to clear this with the instructor first)
  • Tape yourself reading your notes and the text
  • Review lectures aloud with a study buddy
Visual 
Learn best when material is presented graphically.
  • Produce visual representations of material such as timelines, charts, outlines, pictures
  • Use flashcards
  • Place emphasis on using text and notes
  • Incorporate creative visualization techniques for information retrieval
Tactile/ Haptic 
Learn best when incorporating the sense of touch and/or motion.
  • Trace notes
  • Rewrite/Type Notes
  • Facts such as dates, names should be rewritten several times
  • Highlight notes, text
  • Pace while reading/studying
  • Juggle a ball while studying
  • Chew gum while studying, taking a test
  • Add background music
